Yamaha Ef 6000 Generator Manual

Hello CycleRob,
thanks for your explanation.
I checked everything like described, the governor arm was properly fitted.
I figured out that the german version of EF600 will deliver only 400 Watts/ 500 Watts maximum (due to 50Hz and therefore lower rpm).
I rechecked and the machine runs now 480 Watts (lights/bulbs) without a problem.
The throttle is still open max. 1/3 but this seems OK.
As the original air filter element was no more usable I replaced it with a different foam element (not an genuine Yamaha part) which probably has higher airflow so the motor can breathe 'better'.
I guess that if airflow will degree (due to accumulating dirt) the throttle will open wider.
This seems to be intended in order to keep the machine running even with an dirty air filter element as it would be too much effort to clean the filter every 5 hrs...
BTW - I am impressed about the outstanding quality of this little Yamaha gem.
Its quite old and was not serviced properly in the past by the people who owned it before - after some cleaning and refreshing oil, spark plug and air filter it runs now flawless on the first pull.
